Craig Culver, board chairman and brand ambassador Culver’s will be the featured speaker at the next Cap Times Executive Breakfast on Thursday, October 3 at The Edgewater Hotel.
Craig’s journey in the restaurant business started over 50 years ago, inspired by his parents’ restaurant. In 1984, Craig and his family opened the first Culver’s in Sauk City, Wisconsin. In 1987, the franchising arm, Culver Franchising System, LLC, was established. Shaped after the Culver family’s team approach around hospitality and great food, the first successful franchise was opened in Baraboo, Wisconsin in 1990.
There are now over 970 Culver’s franchises across 26 states and over 45,000 team members. Craig retired as CEO in 2015 but is still involved in the business as board chairman and brand ambassador.
Culver was a recipient of the Wisconsin Technology Council’s “Seize the Day” award for entrepreneurial excellence.
The moderator for these ongoing sessions will be Mark Richardson, president of Unfinished Business Consulting and CEO of GigBlender.
Doors will open at 7 a.m. to allow time for coffee and networking. The conversation itself will run one hour and will start at 8. Tickets are on sale.
Admission is $37 for a single ticket, which includes a full breakfast, or $260 for a table of eight.
