Funding available for projects that improve health and advance health equity in Wisconsin

Milwaukee, Wis., June 13, 2024 – The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW) is offering seed grants up to $50,000 for community-led projects that create new strategies, test innovative ideas, and foster collaboration to address health challenges in Wisconsin. Similar funding is available for Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) researchers.

Organizations eligible for AHW’s Community-Led Seed Grants include Wisconsin-based 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 nonprofits, as well as Wisconsin-based government entities.

AHW is introducing a new community-academic partnership model with this funding opportunity that involves an independent grant application from community partners. Approved applicants will be matched with a qualified MCW researcher, whose work will be funded separately.

Funded projects must be completed during a 12-month period beginning Jan. 1, 2025.

Applications for AHW Community-Led Seed Grants are due Aug. 19. For more information and to request a pre-application consultation with an AHW grant program manager, visit https://info.ahwendowment.org/seed-grant-rfa-2024.
