Wisconsin Association of Health Plans: Welcomes iCare, community care, to membership

MADISON, WI – The Wisconsin Association of Health Plans is proud to welcome iCare and  Community Care, Inc. as Association members, effective January 1, 2024. The addition of iCare  and Community Care reinforces the Association’s role as the premier advocacy group for managed care organizations (MCOs) in the state of Wisconsin. MCOs contract with the Wisconsin  Department of Health Services (DHS) to serve Medicaid long-term care programs – such as  Family Care, Family Care Partnership, and Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) – that provide critical services to older adults and adults with disabilities.

“We are thrilled to broaden our membership to include all managed care organizations serving  Wisconsin’s adult Medicaid long-term care programs,” said Association Executive Director John  Nygren. “We look forward to bringing a unified MCO voice to ongoing efforts to ensure the delivery  of high-quality, accessible, and sustainable home and community-based services here in  Wisconsin.”

“The continued growth of the Association’s membership underscores the commitment and  expertise of its staff and acknowledges the capacity of this association to achieve positive  outcomes for our member health plans and the individuals we are privileged to serve,” added  Coreen Dicus-Johnson, Association Board President and President & CEO of Network Health.  “The addition of iCare and Community Care, Inc. benefits our entire membership, and, ultimately,  the people of Wisconsin.”
