GREEN BAY, Wis. – On Broadway, Inc. is excited to announce the Christkindlmarket on Broadway is expanding this year. This traditional German-style holiday street market will offer unique gifts, festive food, beverages, and programming.
This series is offering 12 market dates this year starting with the Lighting Ceremony at the Christkindlmarket on November 17 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Red Sculpture Park and on East Hubbard Street. The markets will run every Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. and every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through December 23.
The expansion of this event not only involves doubling our market dates being offered, but also the number of vendors who can be featured at each event. With the addition of 11 wooden chalets, there will be more than 20 vendors at each market. Some will be there permanently throughout the season and others will be rotating out each market.
“The Christkindlmarket was a huge success in its first year and we heard attendees loud and clear who said they want more,” said Allie Thut, Director of Special Events for On Broadway, Inc. “The expansion is going to provide more opportunities for people to shop small and support local by checking out unique gift items crafted right here in your community. It’s going to be a magical experience with all of the lighting and decor going into the event this year.”
These markets will run collaboratively with other On Broadway events like Winter Wine & Beer Walks and Small Business Saturday. All of these events are designed to get people out holiday shopping at our local businesses.
