MILWAUKEE – On Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 10 am to 1 pm at Milwaukee High School of the Arts (2300 W. Highland Ave., Milwaukee) MPS will host its 4th annual event that will give families access to resources and community organizations including health care, child care, employment, food access, housing, and legal support. In addition, families will also get language services, education, and literacy options.
“The purpose of this annual event is to provide critical information about community resources for refugee and immigrant families. I work with a large population of refugee students at MHSA. Many are newcomers from global conflict zones. Their needs are complex and multifaceted and need wide support,” ESL teacher Sarah Harley said.
Interpreters for Arabic, Burmese, Karen, Rohingya, Somali, and Spanish will be present to assist families with their needs.
