BROOKFIELD, Wis. (May 25, 2023) – Brookfield electrical contracting firm, Lemberg, announced Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED) has been named its Vendor of the Year 2022. The CED team was presented with the award in March 2023 and recognized by Lemberg’s leadership for their ability to problem solve and offer creative solutions for materials management, tracking, communications, and more. With nearly ten vendors in the Milwaukee area, CED consistently ranks high in Lemberg’s evaluation process. The 2022 recognition marked the fourth time CED has received Lemberg’s Vendor of the Year award.
According to Lemberg’s Purchasing Manager, John Capozzi, distributors are viewed as partners and evaluated based on accuracy, convenience, quoting and delivery, billing, and emergency availability. Additionally, the Lemberg team recognizes the uniqueness of each contractor and looks for best-in-class services that go above and beyond the basics of competitive pricing, local availability, and quick delivery.
“We established the Vendor of the Year Award in 2017 because we view our vendors as partners and feel it is important to recognize them for their outstanding service,” said Capozzi. “In a time of material and employee shortages, the ability to present alternative solutions and products had been a factor in our award evaluation. Additionally, we limit the number of vendors we work with to maximize value in a mutually beneficial way.”
Looking forward to 2023, supply chain and product shortages remain a challenge. However, Lemberg’s vendors are working to stay ahead of the game by communicating frequently to pre-order and stock commonly used items. The dedication and work of distributors directly impact Lemberg’s customers by helping the company to be more efficient, complete projects on time, and keep sites safe.
