(Green Bay, WI) (November 9, 2023) – A national search is now underway for Green Bay Botanical Garden’s next President & CEO. Current President & CEO Susan Garot announced her retirement earlier this year, after 15 years of remarkable leadership. The Garden is seeking a dynamic and experienced executive to lead one of the upper Midwest’s most impressive botanical gardens.
Over the past several months, Garden search committee members and staff have compiled a thorough profile for the position which offers candidates a wealth of information relating to the Garden’s past and present along with its expectations for the role. The Garden has partnered with Employment Resource Group, Inc., an experienced executive search firm, in order to perform a comprehensive, national search.
Those wanting to learn more about the role or apply can visit GBBG.org/CEOApply or contact Jessica Jacklin, Director of Talent – Executive Search, at jessica@ergsearch.com or 920.939.6266. Resumes from qualified applicants will be accepted through December 15.
“Susan Garot’s successor will have a fertile foundation upon which to build,” shared Kathy Hartman, Green Bay Botanical Garden Board Member and Search Committee Member. “Her successor will be able to hit the ground running, building upon an amazing legacy.” Garot will continue to lead the Garden throughout the search for her successor and will assist with the transition to the new President & CEO before formally retiring in spring.
