gener8tor Skills Accelerator: Partners with the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin to launch career training program

MADISON, Wis. – Global venture firm and startup accelerator, gener8tor, in partnership with the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin will kick off the first gener8tor Skills Accelerator South Central Wisconsin cohort Aug. 28. and is accepting applications until Aug. 20. The program will focus on rapidly skilling job seekers in the region who are looking to learn Customer Service & Sales skills and receive job placement assistance through the program.

gener8tor Skills Accelerator is a free, virtual career training program for people looking for jobs at in-demand roles in their communities or working remotely for companies across the country. Founded in the summer of 2020, gener8tor Skills was designed to help those who have lost jobs or are struggling to find employment. Since its inception, the program has grown to support more than 2,000 job seekers across the country. Participants earn certificates for in-demand career tracks and receive job placement support to help place them in new roles with opportunities for advancement.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin to help the residents of gener8tor’s hometown to gain a new career with our skills program that brings next generation curriculum to the community,” said Joe Kirgues, co-founder of gener8tor.

The gener8tor Skills Accelerator program provides the tools and individualized coaching that job seekers need to further their professional careers while also helping them overcome barriers they may face when trying to gain employment in the current labor market.

At the end of the gener8tor Skills Accelerator, participants will earn professional certificates from LinkedIn Learning and Microsoft Learn, continuing their career growth through gener8tor job placement services and ongoing alumni support channels.
