CHIPPEWA FALLS, WISCONSIN – (October 6, 2023) – Festival Foods celebrated the grand opening of its Chippewa Falls location with a gift to the local community. The store, located at 1109 Chippewa Crossing Blvd., opened its doors today at 6 a.m., offering a daily shopping experience from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
In conjunction with the grand opening, Festival Foods proudly announced a partnership with the Chippewa Falls Parks and Recreation Department, committing $10,000 towards new playground equipment at Flag Hill. This collaboration supports the department’s initiative, launched in 2021, to create a fully accessible playground at Flag Hill, addressing the needs of an underserved demographic in the community. The project, set to break ground in early Spring 2024, includes a redesign of stairs connecting Irvine Park to Flag Hill.
Mark Skogen, President and CEO of Festival Foods, expressed the company’s excitement for supporting an all-inclusive playground. “As a partner of the Chippewa Falls Parks and Recreation Department, we were made aware of the opportunity to support this important project at Flag Hill. Festival Foods is proud to play a role in creating a vibrant and more inclusive space for the community.”
Festival Foods has a longstanding commitment to being an active partner in community, which has been demonstrated through past initiatives including hosting the Festival Foods Fireworks event at Riverfront Park on Independence Day, supporting local organizations including the Parks and Recreation Department, YMCA, and Mainstreet Inc., and hosting signature in-store events such as BooFest in October and the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign throughout November and December.
