Immediately following, the celebration continues on the CityDeck.
Stroll the newly lit CityDeck and embrace the holiday season at the CityDeck Lighting Celebration from 6 – 8 p.m. There will be new winter lighting features and photo-ops including a large icy arch, an ornament, and a giant inflatable snowflake.
Music will accompany the experience with Frank and Amy of Let Me Be Frank Productions performing holiday songs from 6 – 7 p.m. and Star 98 playing holiday tunes from 7 – 8 p.m.
Guests can meet the special guest, Ole the snowman, bust a move with dancing snowflakes, and take a horse-drawn wagon ride down Washington Street. Hot chocolate and goodies will be available courtesy of The Creamery Downtown and Hagemeister Park. All activities are free.
“In a time where divisions and conflicts seem to overshadow unity in our world, a Peace Tree lighting might be exactly what we all need.” states Jeff Mirkes, Executive Director of Downtown Green Bay, Inc. “With these two events, the community is welcome to come together to kick off the holiday season and create memories in downtown. We can’t wait to see our district glowing and vibrant yet again this season!”
