Dept. of Administration: 2nd Annual Women in Cybersecurity event to coincide with Governor’s 2023 Cybersecurity Summit

Green Bay, Wis. – On Monday, October 23, the Wisconsin Department of Administration and the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs will hold the Annual Women in Cybersecurity event at the KI Convention Center and Hyatt Regency in Green Bay. Held in conjunction with the Governor’s 2023 Cybersecurity Summit, this event will focus on the growing and evolving opportunity for women in the field.

“Cybersecurity is a burgeoning field, and the need for cybersecurity experts is greater than ever,” said DOA Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld. “This is why we’re very excited for the second annual Women in Cybersecurity event, and to expand opportunities in this critical area.”   

The full-day event will feature keynote addresses from Theresa Payton, one of the nation’s most prominent cybersecurity authorities and the first female White House chief information officer, and Jean Blachowicz, the Director of Solution Area Specialists at Microsoft, as well as panel discussions on cybersecurity, career paths, and education.
