GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN, July 28 – 30 – ArtFest Green Bay presented by Nicolet Bank and Green Bay Packaging is set to transform Downtown Green Bay into a vibrant hub of creativity from Friday, July 28, to Sunday, July 30. This highly anticipated 3-day event, organized by Downtown Green Bay, Inc., brings art to the heart of the city with art vendors, a color run/walk, live music, culinary delights, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops. The event runs Friday, 3 – 7 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Entertainment, food, and refreshments will continue until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The event grounds include Adams, Jefferson, and Cherry Streets and Adams Street parking lot.
The Art Fair presented by TDS Fiber will feature local, regional, and national artists showcasing their artwork and offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore and purchase their creations. From paintings to sculptures, photography to mixed media, the artists’ creativity and talent are sure to captivate visitors.
The ArtFest Color Run/Walk will begin on Saturday, July 29th at 10:30 a.m. in front of Hotel Northland. Participants will embark on a 2.5-mile route through the vibrant streets of downtown and along the Fox River. Runners and walkers will be showered in a rainbow of powdered colors. Interested individuals are encouraged to register now.
The Discovery Zone is an area of arts education and hands-on experiences. In the Crafty Classroom, attendees can learn from instructors and take pieces of art home. Local professional artists will provide demonstrations in the Masters’ Studio, giving insight into their techniques and processes. Children can also join in the fun at Little Picasso’s Corner, where they can participate in free on-site activities, mini-classes, and purchase take-home kits. Everyone can become an artist by participating in a community clay mural located in this zone.
On Saturday, local professional chefs will showcase their artistry in food preparation and presentation with culinary demonstrations. Co-hosts Andy Mueller of Black & Tan and Ten O One Club, and Jyl Everman of Gather on Broadway will interact with the featured chef and audience. The first 40 attendees of each demonstration will receive samples of the dishes prepared.
On Sunday, talented artists will compete head-to-head to create colorful canvases at the Art Wars: Live Painting Competition. Attendees can witness the artistic process up-close, vote, and bid on their favorite pieces.
ArtFest Green Bay will feature an impressive lineup of musicians and performers across three stages. The Besaw Properties Main Stage, located in the Adams Street Parking Lot, will host headliners Johnny Wad, Salsa Manzana, and the Salute to Sinatra Big Band. The Jefferson St. Stage and The Weidner Mobile Stage will feature performers representing the diverse cultures of Northeast Wisconsin.
Hungry festival-goers can visit the EPIC Events Center Food Court, where a variety of food vendors will serve their delicious cuisine and drink options. For those craving a pub-style experience, the Downtown Diner will offer burgers, brats, and local brews.
