WPT: Property tax relief is an investment in Wisconsin small businesses and families

MADISON – Wisconsin Property Taxpayers, Inc. today applauded calls for property tax relief in light of new fiscal estimates released yesterday.

“All across the state, Wisconsin’s small businesses and families are chomping at the bit to invest more in their workforces and communities. The reality is; they are unable to do so while reliance on property taxes continues to grow” John Jacobson, government and member relations director said. “Using the dollars outlined in the new fiscal estimates to fund property tax relief would allow these taxpayers to keep more money in their own pockets, and not rely on government to spend it for them. There is no better way to prepare for the future.

“Our members applaud Senator Fitzgerald’s support for a property tax cut proposal, and his recognition that the small businesses and families who fund our local services are in need of relief.”
