Madison, Wis. —The University of Pennsylvania’s Scheie Eye Institute on April 12th presented its outstanding alumni award to Dr. Daniel Albert of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Albert, chairman emeritus of ophthalmology and visual sciences, was honored for his study of ocular tumors including his participation in the isolation of the gene that causes retinoblastoma. Albert is also a noted scholar of the history of ophthalmology and medical ethics. He gave the David M.
