Early pricing for MOSES Organic Farming Conference ends January 17

25th annual conference to feature keynote speakers Anna Lappé, Mark Shepard and Alan Guebert.

SPRING VALLEY, WI – The early registration discount ends Jan. 17 for the landmark 25th MOSES Organic Farming Conference, set for Feb. 27 to March 1, 2014, in La Crosse, Wis.

This is the 25th anniversary of the MOSES Conference, which is put on by the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES). MOSES is marking the occasion with contests, awards, historical exhibits and an anniversary celebration on Friday evening during the conference.

Featured keynote presenters include Anna Lappé and Mark Shepard on Friday, Feb. 28, and Alan Guebert on Saturday, March 1.

Anna Lappé, a sustainable food advocate and best-selling author, and Mark Shepard, a “renegade” farmer and permaculture guru, will speak on the impact of agribusiness on Earth’s climate. They will also discuss the roles of sustainable food and farming in creating resilient communities, protecting biodiversity and promoting health.

Journalist Alan Guebert, who writes the popular syndicated agriculture column “The Farm and Food File,” will speak about the public policies and private-sector support the next generation of organic farmers will need to succeed.

In addition to these nationally known speakers, the conference features 65 workshops, 10 pre-conference all-day courses, more than 170 tradeshow exhibitors, and—something unique to this conference—all organic food.

A free MOSES Conference app is available for all mobile devices and desktop browsers. The app includes details about the workshops, presenters, schedule, exhibitors, and more. To learn more about the mobile app, see mosesorganic.org/conference/app.

To take advantage of the early discount price, register for the conference by Jan. 17. Registration is available online at mosesorganic.org/conference or through the mobile app. To request a mail-in registration form, call 715-778-5775.

MOSES is a nonprofit organization that promotes organic and sustainable agriculture by providing farmers with education, resources and expertise.
