ERIC R. HANSCH JOINS MICHAEL BEST’S TRANSACTIONAL TEAM
Madison, Wisconsin (January 21, 2013) – Eric R. Hansch has joined the Madison office of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP as an associate in the firm’s Transactional Practice Group.
Hansch’s background is rooted in commercial real estate brokerage, development and law. Prior to joining Michael Best, he was a member of the real estate team for a national hotel developer. His responsibilities included: market research and analysis, site evaluation, selection and acquisition, feasibility analysis, franchise selection, municipal approvals and entitlements, building design/development, due diligence and legal analysis.
During law school, Hansch worked as a summer associate at two Madison area law firms. He gained experience researching and analyzing legal issues as well as drafting memoranda for attorneys in a broad spectrum of practice areas. He also drafted contracts and corporate filing for various business entities and assisted with real estate transactions.
Hansch spent two years as a commercial real estate broker before entering law school. Working closely with local and national investors, he was responsible for marketing more than 1.6 million square feet of office space throughout metropolitan Milwaukee.
Hansch received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, his M.B.A. in real estate and urban land economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and his B.S., magna cum laude, from Marquette University.
