Perspectives from an Entrepreneur, Facilitator, Judge & Innovator

Aspiring or current entrepreneurs, small business owners, plus other like-minded individuals are invited to learn more

about building a great business plan or model from a knowledgeable panel of speakers at the May 13th

Network meeting from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Elks Club, 33 Sheboygan Street, Fond du Lac.

Building the business plan may seem like a daunting task, but with the right preparation, resources, feedback, plus

commitment, you can easily create this essential roadmap for business success whether you are just starting a

business or need to update your current plan. Learn from:

• An entrepreneur who has successfully gone through the traditional business plan process, met his financial

projections the first year, and is continuing to grow each year;

• A facilitator who helps with financial projections and other key business plan components;

• A Governor’s business plan judge who will share what makes a good business plan; and

• An Innovator who has written a traditional business plan plus has completed a new alternative called the

Business Model Canvas, working through a lean-startup process with customer development and validation

as a core first step.

Get helpful tips and templates to make building a business plan or model less daunting!

Participating in the panel

include: Doug Sabel, entrepreneur and owner of Sabel Mechanical; Tom Avery, facilitator/mentor at Ripon College

Creative Enterprise Consultants; Scott Dell, CPA, Asst. Professor at Marian University & Governor’s Business Plan

Contest Judge; and Jay Smith, innovator and CEO of Draiochta Labs.
