Former Supermarket to Become County Facility
St. Croix County selects Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. for project
(Appleton, WI) St. Croix County has selected Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc., Inc. to renovate the former County Market grocery store in New Richmond, Wisconsin, into the new Health and Human Services facility for the County.
The $1.8 million building project will begin in January and be completed by the end of June.
The renovated facility will house several departments including Public Health, Veterans Services, the Aging and Disability Resource Center as well as general meeting, conference and employee work space. “Our focus is on delivering an ideal building solution for the County,” said Bill Aubrey, senior project manager with Hoffman. “We’ll be creating an environment that makes department services easily accessible to the public while maintaining secure employee areas that also offer operational efficiencies. Locating department services in the front of the facility will allow the public to freely access programs, while still addressing and maintaining the security needs of the facility.”
In addition to public services, employee areas will include private office spaces, cubicle spaces and flex work stations for employees who do much of their work outside of the office. “Our goal is to understand how the department functions and provide a solution that addresses the multiple ways the staff delivers services to County residents,” Aubrey said.
