Chicago, IL (January 22, 2013) – The law firm of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce Michelle (Ethier) Kouba has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group as an associate, effective January 9, 2013. Kouba will be located in the firm’s Chicago office.
Kouba concentrates her practice on all aspects of domestic and international trademark law, as well as domain name, Internet, copyright, advertising, and unfair competition law, with a particular focus on practical business considerations and excellent client service. Her diverse professional experience in the biotechnology and diagnostics industries will provide significant value to the firm’s clients.
Kouba received a B.S. in biology with a concentration in chemistry, summa cum laude, from Jacksonville University in 2000. In 2009, she received a J.D., with a Certificate in Intellectual Property, summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, from DePaul University College of Law.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Kouba worked as an associate at another Chicago-based law firm.
