About Guide Training
Milwaukee’s built environment has thousands of tales to tell. Learn about Milwaukee’s unique history from leading scholars in eight, 3 hour classes. You will be fully immersed in Milwaukee architecture, its preservation and its language. Once you’ve taken these classes you can put your new found knowledge to work for a good cause, by volunteering for Historic Milwaukee’s Guided Tour program.

Courses will be taught by Milwaukee historian John Gurda; Dr. Chris Szczesny-Adams, Associate Professor Art, Design, & Architectural History at MIAD; University of Milwaukee Architecture Professors Matt Jarosz and Arijit Sen; and expert tour guides.

Who Should Take Guide Training
Historic Milwaukee is seeking enthusiastic individuals to become volunteer guides. The organization needs more guides to meet the increasing demand for tours especially individuals who are available to give student tours.
