International Company Pleased To Keep Calling Stoughton Home
STOUGHTON, WIS. — Nelson Global Products, a manufacturer of fabricated high-performance vehicle equipment, will host a ground-breaking ceremony at the site of its new corporate headquarters in Stoughton, Wis., next Tuesday, May 29 at 2:30 p.m.
Nelson Global Products has called Stoughton home since 1939 and the company is pleased to deepen its roots in the city’s North Business Park.
“I’d like to commend City of Stoughton Mayor Donna Olson, Director of Planning and Development Rodney Scheel and the Common Council,” Nelson Global Products Chief Executive Officer Thomas Gosnell said. “We are an international company, but Stoughton will always be our home and I appreciate the efforts of the city to help our company and our employees stay here.”
Nelson Global Products partnered with Vogel Bros. Building Co. as its design/builder and Potter Lawson, Inc. for the facility design.
“We are pleased to get started on the construction of our new corporate headquarters with our design/build partners Vogel Bros. Building Co. and Potter Lawson architects,” Nelson Global Products Director of Business Integration Sue Vanderbilt said. “This is an exciting new chapter for our company and I know our team is eager to get started.”
Vogel Bros. and Potter Lawson staff will join the Nelson Global Products team to celebrate the groundbreaking with a commemorative “turning the dirt” ceremony with Mayor Olson and fellow city officials. The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. and the shovel ceremony is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Members of the media are encouraged to attend.
“Our planning work with Nelson Global Products has been exciting and our team is looking forward to starting construction of the new corporate headquarters,” Vogel Bros. Building Co. President Peter Vogel said. “We’re ready to build a new home for Nelson Global Products and finish in time for Nelson Global’s employees to move in by the end of this year.”
The new $3.75 million, 25,000-square-foot office building, located at 1560 Williams Drive, will house product design engineers, as well as marketing, sales, accounting and administrative support staff. Providing twice the green space required by local codes, this new facility was set back 75 feet from Williams Drive to maintain green space and protect existing trees on the site.
Media interested in attending the ceremony and potential interviews should contact Vogel Bros. Building Co. Marketing Coordinator Jessica Burda at 608-663-8974 or jburda@vogelbldg.com.
