American Speed Association: Sunoco “fuels” the ASA Midwest Sportsman Tour

SUNOCO RACE FUELS: THE OFFICIAL FUEL OF THE ASA MIDWEST TOUR

March 30, 2011 – With exciting changes like double-file restarts, the new race format for the Joe Shear Classic, and new tracks added to the schedule, 2011 is sizing up to be the biggest year yet for the American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and GrandStay Hospitality.

None of this could happen if it were not for the loyalty of the ASAMT sponsors. The ASAMT is excited to announce another new member of the family, Sunoco Race Fuels. Sunoco Race Fuels will not only be the official fuel of the ASAMT, but has signed on as the title sponsor for the ASA Midwest Sportsman Tour. “We have been thinking long and hard about our fuel program and it was very clear to us that the right choice for our teams was Sunoco. Their brand, their support, and their involvement in auto racing pretty much made our decision for us and we are very proud to carry their name with the Tour,” said Steve Einhaus, ASAMT VP.

Sunoco Race Fuels will be giving a $50 cash bonus to each division at each event to eligible drivers who purchase 10 gallons of fuel on race day. The bonus must be used at the next event and all winners must be fully registered ASA Members.

Tim Olson, ASAMT President added, “They wanted to be more then just the official fuel. So when we had an opening with our title sponsorship in the Sportsman Tour, they immediately snatched it up. It solidifies the future and will continue to help us build this division for many years to come.”

For decades, Sunoco Race Fuels have been associated with racing excellence. Since the mid-60s, when Sunoco and the Roger Penske Racing Team with Mark Donahue forged what would be a long and successful alliance, the company has grown into an industry powerhouse.

“Sunoco is proud to be associated with one of the premiere racing organizations in the country,” said Mitch Hart, Sales Manager for Sunoco Race Fuels for the Central and Western US. “We look forward to providing the ASA Midwest Tour with the same high quality and consistency that has made us the preferred fuel supplier to more sanctioning bodies and racers than any other brand.”

Today, Sunoco has expanded the reach of its racing fuels line around the world to include all types of professional motor sports and other activities where premium race fuels make a difference. With its unsurpassed innovations and years of experience, it’s easy to understand why more and more engine builders, racers, tracks and sanctioning bodies choose Sunoco over all other racing gasoline combined.

Winning on today’s racing circuit requires more than an exceptional driver and a well-built car. It takes high-performance racing fuels that are willing to go the distance – fuels like those produced by Sunoco.

As the largest manufacturer and refiner of racing gasolines in the world, Sunoco has a 40-year track record of winning performances. With an expanded product line, Sunoco offers drivers more choices than ever before.

Sunoco blends every one of its race fuels in-house. Then, it analyzes and tests each batch under strict laboratory conditions. This ensures that drivers receive a reliable, high-quality racing gasoline every time.

When it comes to competing successfully, choose the fuel that is synonymous with the Winner’s Circle. Choose Sunoco. Enter the Winner’s circle with Sunoco Race Fuels!
