State Receives Grant to Help Protect Food Supply from Terrorism: Wisconsin is one of four states to receive federal grant money to help find new ways to protect the nation’s food system from agro-terrorism. The funds are being award to the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Division, which is heading up a new program called TIGER–which stands for Terrorist Incident GIS-Enhanced Response.

Court reinstates $5 million Link Snacks award: Jay Link, former chief operating officer of Link Snacks, is entitled to the $5 million in punitive damages he was awarded last year in a civil case against his father and brother, according to a ruling Tuesday by the 3rd District Court of Appeals in Wausau.

Wisconsin/Israel pact to promote R&D: Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle on Tuesday signed a bilateral collaborative trade agreement between Israel and the state promoting joint research and development. “Wisconsin and Israel share a strong past and a bright future in research and technology development,” Doyle said. “This agreement creates an important framework for Israel’s and Wisconsin’s scientists, engineers and researchers to embark on groundbreaking research and development in many promising fields, especially water technology.“
