— In the wake of Friday’s union vote that keeps Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, the details of the public incentive package offered to the marine manufacturer are set to be released today. City and county officials have a press conference set for 10:30 a.m. — Both the Dow Jones and the WisBusiness index of Wisconsin stocks open today looking to regain ground they lost last week. The Dow opens the week at 9,444, down more than 100 points from last week’s open. And the WisBusiness index lost more than 25 points on the week to open at 1,675. Looking ahead, Milwaukee-based Brady Corporation reports its quarterly earnings on Thursday. — A new employment outlook survey finds Wisconsin employers planning to follow national hiring trends in the last three months of this year. Milwaukee-based Manpower surveys more than 28,000 U.S. employers to ask about hiring plans. Nationally, 12 percent expect to increase their staff levels while 14 percent expect to reduce payrolls. Sixty-nine percent expect no change in hiring. Here are the 4th quarter results for state metro areas singled out by Manpower: **Appleton: 13% of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees, while 12% expect to reduce their payrolls. Another 75% expect to maintain their current staff levels. **Green Bay: 12% of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees, while 14% expect to reduce their payrolls. Another 69% expect to maintain their current staff levels and 5% are not certain of their hiring plans. **Madison: 11% of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees, while 11% expect to reduce their payrolls. Another 71% expect to maintain their current staff levels and 7% are not certain of their hiring plans. **Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis: 16% of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees, while 14% expect to reduce their payrolls.
