— Southwest Airlines President and CEO Gary Kelly declared that “high fares are going to be a thing of the past in Milwaukee” with the company’s entry into the Milwaukee marketplace. On the most recent episode of “UpFront with Mike Gousha” Kelly said that Southwest offers an average of 50 to 55 daily departures in major cities it serves, and that the potential for growth in Milwaukee is limited only by demand. “We’ve got the people, we’ve got the airplanes to expand as much as our customers want in that market,” Kelly said. Kelly said the Milwaukee operation will initially employ 40 to 50 people, which would increase if more departures are added. Watch UpFront online: http://www.wisn.com/upfront/21490069/detail.html
