Miller Electric Manufacturing Co. cutting 35 jobs in Appleton: The company, a subsidiary of Glenview, Ill.-based Illinois Tool Works and maker of welding equipment and accessories, announced Wednesday it was cutting 35 jobs, which includes 27 plant and eight office positions, effective Jan. 1. The reduction represents about 3 percent of the company’s Appleton area work force, which now stands at about 1,200 workers.
