Wausau, WI- Ruder, Ware & Michler, L.L.S.C., a Wausau-based business law firm, and Garvey, Anderson, Johnson, Geraci & Mirr, S.C., Eau Claire, announced today that a merger agreement has been reached. Pending final share holder approval of the merger on July 1, 2005, the combined organization will adopt the “Ruder Ware” name and become the 11th largest law firm in Wisconsin with 43 attorneys in Wausau and Eau Claire.

The Garvey Anderson law firm was founded in Eau Claire in 1945 and currently provides a wide range of legal services to businesses, individuals and municipalities throughout northwestern Wisconsin. Thirteen of the firm’s 16 attorneys offer extensive experience in business law, commercial real estate, banking, commercial law and estate planning and will continue to serve clients from their current office location at 402 Graham Avenue in Eau Claire.
