Employee Benefit Trust Owned by Member Counties and Municipalities
Faced with the ongoing challenge of providing affordable and comprehensive employee benefits, the Waukesha Water Utility has chosen the WCA Group Health Trust for their health benefits.
The WCA Group Health Trust, the employee benefit trust of the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA), offers self insurance plans, health insurance, prescription drug card options, dental and vision insurance, wellness programs and Endorsed Section 125 programs to counties, cities, towns, villages and other public entities.
“For public entities, the cost of providing healthcare for their employees has skyrocketed in recent years,” said Jon H. Hochkammer, WCA Director of Insurance Operations. “We welcome the Waukesha Water Utility to our program and we look forward to working with them to continue to meet our goals of providing local governments with an employee benefit program that is both affordable and comprehensive.”
Unlike many other healthcare benefits companies, the WCA Group Health Trust is unique in that it is owned by member counties and municipalities in Wisconsin. The WCA Group Health Trust Board of Directors includes John Blahnik, Bayfield County; Myron Schuster, Burnett County; Andy Ross, Columbia County; Erhard Huettl, Forest County; Margaret Bostelmann, Green Lake County; Lee Rymer, Oconto County; John Young, Oneida County; Ted Egelhoff, Ozaukee County; Hal Helwig, Sawyer County; Clarence Natzke, Shawano County; Fred Parent, Taylor County and Debra Behringer, Waushara County.
“The WCA Group Health Trust remains dedicated to its mission of giving Wisconsin’s counties and municipalities an affordable and inclusive option for employee healthcare benefits,” said Kim Hurtz, Vice President of Employee Benefits for Aegis Corporation, which provides marketing services to the WCA Group Health Trust. “We look forward to helping the Waukesha Water Utility fulfill their employee healthcare responsibilities in a fiscally responsible manner and we welcome them to our program.”
