(Mequon, WI – December 7, 2004) Great Lakes Media Technology recently completed manufacturing the major catalog of Sony Media Software. Compiled of over 100 masters, the catalog consists of professional loop-based music creation CD-ROMs and DVDs. Throughout the catalog, a variety of musicians are featured, such as Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood, bass icon Bill Laswell, guitar maestro Steve Tibbetts, and Sony producer Leo Cavallo. Included in the massive catalog is the popular ACID software, Sound Forge, and Vegas, each designed for a different aspect of music production across a wide range of genres and styles.
The entire manufacturing process of over 120,000 discs was completed at Great Lakes Media Technology’s facility in Mequon, WI. Great Lakes Media Technology also worked closely with Sony management to develop and implement the specific packaging needs of each series within the catalog. After being involved with Sony on various series editions over the past four years, Great Lakes Media Technology had the background and knowledge to work closely and efficiently on this recent project of a much more comprehensive scope.
