MADISON – Governor Scott Walker released the following statement today after the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) announced Wisconsin’s preliminary April unemployment rate dropped to 2.8 percent, a new all-time low.
“Our unemployment rate has dropped from 9.3 percent in 2010 to 2.8 percent today, more people are working than ever before, and household incomes are up,” Governor Walker said. “That’s great news for Wisconsin’s hardworking families, but we’re not done yet. Wisconsin is ready to win the 21st century.” The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development released the following information today:
