Two “Business Incubator Startup” workshops designed to help Milwaukee urban entrepreneurs explore the merits of their ideas, refine their models and define next steps will be offered in February. The workshops are presented by a unique coalition of Milwaukee partners: Launch MKEBizStartsSt. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care and Parklawn Assembly of God Church in Sherman Park.

The workshops are free and available to Milwaukee entrepreneurs, whether they are aspiring to start a business or have one already underway. Participants can attend either session—Monday, Feb. 19, 6-9 p.m., at Parklawn Assembly of God, 3725 N. Sherman Blvd., or Tuesday, Feb. 27, 1-4 p.m., at St. Ann Center’s Bucyrus Campus, 2450 W. North Ave.

These sessions are modeled after the business incubators run for two years by St. Ann Center, Business Improvement District 32 and Ald. Russell W. Stamper II. Following these introductory workshops,  entrepreneurs will have access to BizStarts coaches and to Launch MKE’s Business Academy’s spring program. BizStarts offers one-on-one coaching, mentoring, and connections to its deep network at no cost to the entrepreneur. Launch MKE’s program will run for 10 weeks, one evening a week, and includes successful entrepreneurs as guest speakers. Launch MKE graduated 23 successful entrepreneurs from their program on December 17th.
