BROOKFIELD, WI (October 30, 2017) –Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative (CGHC) has announced it is adding ThedaCare providers and services, both employed and affiliated, to its Envision provider network in 2018.
The partnership will improve healthcare and insurance options for individuals, families and small businesses both on and off the Marketplace in four counties within the ThedaCare service area, including those that do not have health insurance through an employer. The non-profit CGHC is one of only a handful of insurers serving the individual health insurance market, while ThedaCare is the third largest healthcare system in Wisconsin. The Envision network is also a cost efficient option for small employers.
CGHC CEO Cathy Mahaffey said the partners are a great fit because they share similar missions and are, in essence, owned by the communities and the people they serve. “We started our non-profit cooperative to serve the needs of those that have traditionally been disadvantaged by health insurance – individuals and small businesses,” she said. “By adding ThedaCare to our network, we are providing an insurance option to those we serve who seek care from an award-winning health system widely recognized for its quality and efficiency.”

ThedaCare operates seven hospitals and 32 clinics located in nine counties in Northeast and Central Wisconsin. Effective January 1, 2018, CGHC will serve four counties in the ThedaCare region including Outagamie, Winnebago, Shawano and Calumet.
