MADISON – On Tuesday, the Wisconn Valley Jobs Coalition announced it had grown to nearly 175 members and sent a letter from its broadened membership to lawmakers in support of Foxconn Technology Group’s historic investment in Wisconsin as the State Senate prepares to vote on legislation to move the project forward.

The coalition – which is made up of businesses, entrepreneurs, workers and community leaders – has mobilized groups all across Wisconsin to contact their legislators and participate in lobbying efforts. It has also continued its operation of FoxconnFacts.com and social media platforms pushing the facts on the project.

“Foxconn is preparing to make an unprecedented investment in Wisconsin, and this coalition represents an extraordinary effort to make sure our state does not let this moment in history pass us by,” said Kurt R. Bauer, president/CEO of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), which launched the coalition in late August. “This investment will bring both jobs and people to our great state, and we hope it receives strong support in the State Senate.”

The Wisconn Valley Jobs Coalition was formed to inform the public and policymakers of the transformational impact Foxconn will have not only on southeastern Wisconsin, but the entire state. From the thousands of family-supporting jobs that will be directly created by Foxconn to the indirect jobs in construction, the supply chain and other services, this is an opportunity like never before.

The investment will bring thousands of jobs, a world-class manufacturing facility with a full supply chain, and a high-tech 8K-5G ecosystem to Wisconsin, making it a historic moment for our state and hard-working families in all of our communities.

Foxconn will turn Wisconsin into the center of a new wave of high-tech manufacturing – products made in America, right here in Wisconsin. Building components to TVs, computers, cars and more will impact our entire statewide economy and revolutionize what it means to live and work in our communities with high-skill, highpaying jobs.

The Wisconn Valley Jobs Coalition sent the attached letter to all legislators urging them to support the Foxconn bill.
