Marshfield, Wisconsin – Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., has named Stephanie Bauer, Colby, assistant director of Claims and Business Configuration.
Bauer will oversee Business Configuration and Commercial Claims. She brings to the position years of experience in claims management as well as a technical background in the Health Plan’s claim processing system, QNXT.
“Her extensive knowledge of QNXT, previous experience, leadership expertise and commitment to Security Health Plan operations and members, will make her a great fit for this new role,” said Sara Foemmel, Director of Operations for Security Health Plan.
A Spencer native, Bauer received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Upper Iowa University and associate degree in supervisory management from North Central Technical College.
In addition, Bauer was voted onto the QUser Group board of directors just one day after accepting her new role as assistant director. The QUser board represents all QNXT clients in the TriZetto/Cognizant Company.
“This will provide value to Security Health Plan, as I will be a voice for the QNXT community,” Bauer said. “I will work more closely with the TriZetto/Cognizant team to improve communication, quality, usability and functionality of our core system QNXT and accompanying products Security Health Plan utilizes. I hope to gain expertise on more complex issues of QUsers and am dedicated to provide insight for future needs.”
During her 22 years with Marshfield Clinic Health System, Bauer has served in several capacities, with the past 16 years spent at Security Health Plan. She has served as a senior claims auditor, claims operations manager and most recently business configuration manager.
“I hope to create efficiencies and collaboration between the Business Configuration and Claims Departments,” Bauer said.
Bauer said she will look to create further opportunities for cross training between the two departments to create hybrid positions that can function in both roles to improve Security Health Plan member experience
