Madison — Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Secretary Roberta Gassman announced today that the 6th edition of the County Workforce Profiles is now available on the department’s web site. The profiles, produced by the department’s recently created Office of Economic Advisors, include narratives, tables, and charts detailing county-level labor markets in Wisconsin. The Office of Economic Advisors is comprised of regional labor market analysts and economists who explore labor market issues and trends in all Wisconsin counties.

The profiles include: population, labor force, largest industries and employers, occupation and industry wages, income and educational attainment.

“I am happy to offer this tool to local community leaders, economic developers, planners and others to assist with analyzing and resolving workforce and planning issues throughout the state,” said Secretary Gassman. “Our county profiles have been praised by national media and copied by other states because of the quality and level of information they contain.”

The 72 county publications provide tables and charts with comprehensive information on the most current, annual data available with a brief analysis from local analysts and economists to provide additional insight on the changes in labor markets for county workers, employers, job seekers, students and others. The county workforce profiles are available at http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/lmi/cp_pdf/cp_mainx.htm.
