National Federation of Independent Business: Applauds Governorís call for broadband expansion
MADISON – NFIB, the leading small business association in Wisconsin representing thousands of members across the state, reacted to Gov. Tony Evers State of the State address. The following comments may be attributed to Bill G. Smith, state director of NFIB in Wisconsin:
“Imagine trying to run a small business and being unable to take customer order or being unable to communicate with clients due to slow internet speeds or no signal at all. That is a reality for many rural small business owners as a result of slow, or even no internet service to support their business. We are pleased Governor Evers spoke of the urgent need to expand and improve broadband service all across our state.
“It is critically important that barriers to business start-ups and small business growth be removed, and we commend the Governor for his proposal to establish a Committee on Entrepreneurs and Innovation at the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.”
