Wells Fargo Advisors: Samson named Regional President of Wells Fargo Advisors Midwest region

Chicago, Ill. – November 28, 2017 – Robert Samson has been named Regional President for the Midwest Region of Wells Fargo Advisors. Samson leads a team that includes 714 financial advisors at 63 branches located in Northern Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Kowach, President and Head of Wells Fargo Advisors. “Nearly 90 advisors joined the firm under his leadership as market manager where he helped foster access to the firm’s deep resources and caring environment. We look forward to his supportive leadership in helping take the Wells Fargo Advisors experience to the next level for clients and advisors alike.”
Prior to his current position, Samson served as Managing Director – Market Manager for the Wells Fargo Advisors North Shore Market in Chicago, Ill. He began his financial services career in 1995 with Wells Fargo Advisors as a financial advisor. He went on to serve in a variety of positions, including market manager, complex manager, regional business manager, assistant branch manager and training center instructor. He was named a Premier Manager* in multiple years during his career, and has served on several advisory boards for the firm.
Before joining Wells Fargo Advisors, Samson had been a trial lawyer. He is currently the Executive Sponsor for the Women’s Team Member Network in Chicago. Samson has served on the Board of Directors of the Little City Foundation, an organization that supports individuals and their families affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition, he co-chairs the Coats for Kids effort in Chicago, which has donated 10,000 coats annually to inner city kids in Chicago for many years.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a J.D. degree (currently non-practicing) from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology.
