MADISON, Wis., November 28, 2017 – For the third year in a row, Ho-Chunk Gaming – Wisconsin Dells is helping area families struggling to put food on their tables by sponsoring the NBC15 Share Your Holidays to eliminate hunger campaign. The campaign raises meals for families and individuals facing hunger in 16 southwestern Wisconsin counties that are served by Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin and its local partner agencies.

Through their Bronze level sponsorship the last three years, Ho-Chunk Gaming – Wisconsin Dells has provided the equivalent of 45,000 meals, thanks to the fact that Second Harvest can provide three meals with every $1 they receive. In addition to their monetary contribution this year, representatives from Ho-Chunk Gaming – Wisconsin Dells will also be volunteering their time sorting food on December 6 during the Grand Finale of the NBC15 Share Your Holidays campaign at the Alliant Energy Center.

Second Harvest will also be holding a Phone-a-Thon during the Grand Finale to help raise 3.86 million meals for those facing hunger in southwestern Wisconsin. All gifts made by phone at 844-8-HUNGER (toll-free), or online at SecondHarvestMadison.org on December 6 from 6 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. will be matched.

“We are grateful to Ho-Chunk Gaming in Wisconsin Dells for their dedication to improving the lives of those who are struggling in our community,” said Dan Stein, President & CEO of Second Harvest Foodbank. “Their sponsorship the last three years is a wonderful example of the positive impact that happens when companies are part of our fight to end hunger.”

“On behalf of the entire team at Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells, we are happy to again support Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin,” said Dave Abangan, Public Relations Manager. “The Share Your Holidays campaign is a huge part of our consistent effort to assist families within the counties many of our guests and employees live.”
