UW Stevens Point: ranked among Top 10 public Midwestern universities
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is again ranked among the Top 10 public universities in 12 states in the Midwest, according to the U.S. News and World Report.
The magazine’s 2018 rankings place UW-Stevens Point tied for ninth in the top tier of Midwestern comprehensive public universities. The university is recognized for high rates in graduation and a solid reputation among peer institutions.
“We are proud UW-Stevens Point continues to be honored as one of the best universities in the Midwest,” said Chancellor Bernie Patterson. “Our class size, low student-to-faculty ratio and supportive faculty and staff are among the reasons students find a more personal academic experience at UW-Stevens Point.”
These rankings are a good tool for students who are beginning to look at colleges and universities but may not be that familiar with the UW-Stevens Point campus, Patterson said. “If students are looking at the top-ranking universities in the Midwest, they should be looking at UW-Stevens Point.”
