Capital Endodontics today announced Dr. Dylan Downs has joined the practice, elevating Capital Endodontics’ standing as Madison’s largest and most experienced team of providers of root canal treatment.
A native of central Illinois, Dr. Downs completed a seven-year combined B.S., D.M.D. program at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He received his B.S. degree in Biology-Medical Sciences in 2010 and his D.M.D. in 2013. After moving to Madison, Dr. Downs completed a general practice residency at Meriter Hospital under the leadership of his now colleague and Capital Endodontics Partner Dr. David Landwehr. Upon deciding to specialize, Dr. Downs went on to advanced training in endodontics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.
“Having worked with Dr. Downs in the residency program at Meriter, I know the level of skill and dedication he brings to his practice,” said Dr. Landwehr. “I’m thrilled he chose endodontics as a specialty, and adding him to our team allows us to offer even greater flexibility and efficiency in meeting the needs of our patients.”
Capital Endodontics offers bookend offices – on the east side on Crossroads Drive and on the west side on Greenway Boulevard – to serve patients throughout Madison and the surrounding area. Dr. Downs lives in Waunakee with his wife and two children. He is Board-Eligible with the American Board of Endodontics and is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Greater Dane Dental Society.
