MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (June 7, 2017) – Bryant & Stratton College announced today the expansion of its athletics program in Wisconsin by adding men’s soccer, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball for the 2018-19 academic year. All three sports will begin National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) competition in fall 2018. With this expansion, Bryant & Stratton College will offer nine intercollegiate sports including men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball and men’s and women’s golf.

Bryant & Stratton College belongs to the NJCAA Region 4. Men’s and women’s soccer will compete at the Division I level, the first Division 1 junior college soccer programs in Wisconsin. Women’s volleyball will be Division II. All three programs will offer athletic scholarships to student athletes. The team is currently independent of a conference.

“We are on track for expanding our sports offerings as planned since we launched athletics in 2016,” Bryant & Stratton College’s Athletic Director Greg Brandner said. “Our sports teams have really brought a sense of pride and togetherness on campus between students, faculty, staff and our alumni.”

A nationwide head coaching search for all three programs are underway. These coaches will have a major role laying the foundation of the program, recruiting student athletes, fundraising and being involved in the community.

“We have engaged in an aggressive search for our coaching positions that we expect to fill by August,” Brandner said.

Student athletes are able to take courses at Bryant & Stratton College’s campuses located in Wauwatosa and at Bayshore Town Center in Glendale. Bryant & Stratton College offers programs in business, healthcare, technology and many others through campus and online courses.

Through the College’s Career LifePrep, a unique set of experiences are offered exclusively by Bryant & Stratton College that helps prepare students at every step in their academic journey, both while in school and after graduation, the college offers a distinct advantage over other career and community colleges.
