Eagle, Wisconsin – This June, Old World Wisconsin, in partnership with the Museum of Beer and Brewing, will continue their Historic Brewing program for the 2017 season. This year the historic site welcomes featured breweries from around the state to participate in the historic brewing process. Leinenkugels and The Explorium Brewpub will be the June featured breweries. The historic Brewing program will bring beer lovers from around the state together for an exceptional beer experience to share in not only the taste but also the long history of Wisconsin’s favorite beverage.

“We are excited to bring to life 19th-century brews using equipment and techniques from the late 1800s and heirloom hops and barley grown fresh in our gardens,” said Dan Freas, site director at Old World Wisconsin. “Our June featured breweries both share a passion for brewing. The Explorium Brewpub creates small batch, hand-crafted beer, including the Humboldt’s Homeland Hefeweizen, a beer synonymous with historic German wheat beer. And celebrating 150 years of brewing history this year, Leinenkugel has a rich history of beer innovation.”

Guests can stop by the Sudhaus, in the German Area, to fully engage their senses as they treat themselves to a cold brew while learning more about Wisconsin’s rich brewing history. Below are the dates and times of the June featured brewery days:

June 3: Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company

June 17: The Explorium Brewpub

The brewing process will begin by 10am and conclude by 5pm, brewing American style beer. Wisconsin Historical Society members receive free admission. The cost for admission for adults is $19, children $10, senior citizens $16. Fees include an all-day tram transportation pass. Parking is free. Beer may only be purchased for an additional cost and consumed by guests 21 and older. Visit oldworldwisconsin.org for more information.
