BROOKFIELD, WI (May 30, 2017) – Network Health welcomes Dr. Greg Buran to their executive team. Dr. Buran joins the Network Health team as Chief Medical Officer, based at the company’s growing Brookfield location.

Dr. Buran brings more than 30 years of medical experience to his new role at Network Health. He most recently served as vice president and senior medical director of Health Alliance Plan, a provider-owned health insurance company based in Detroit, Michigan. Through his experience with health plan and medical group administration, Dr. Buran brings the expertise to leverage a provider-owned health plan’s unique relationship with its owners to design member-focused, clinically integrated programs.

Dr. Buran began his career as a physician at Metro Medical Group in Detroit, Michigan and grew his vocation within the Detroit community. Over the course of his career, Dr. Buran has held multiple positions at Henry Ford Medical Group including research director of the division of hospital medicine, medical director of the hospitalist inpatient unit at Henry Ford Hospital, medical director for utilization management at Henry Ford Hospital and associate medical director of managed care services. He also served as vice president of medical affairs at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. Dr. Buran is an award-winning academic hospitalist, having spent more than ten years teaching hospital staff and medical students.

Dr. Greg Buran is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Physician Executives, American Medical Association, Society of General Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine. He is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and the University of Michigan Medical School.
