UW Health: Career event set for March 15 and 16

MADISON, Wis. – UW Health is hiring.

Home to Wisconsin’s No. 1 hospital (according to U.S. News & World Report) and one of Dane County’s largest employers, the academic medical center is expanding and will host a two- day job fair March 15 and 16 at the Best Western Inntowner, 2424 University Ave.

The Wednesday, March 15 event will be just for nurses. It will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Registered nurses are encouraged to attend to explore opportunities in clinics, critical care, inpatient and clinic float, leadership, medical/surgical, NICU, pediatrics, and surgical services.

Thursday, March 16 is an unofficial holiday for basketball fans as the NCAA tournament starts, so the game will be live-streamed at the event and diehard basketball fans won’t miss any of the action.

Thursday’s time frame is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will focus on patient-care careers. Open positions include the following job categories: : cardiovascular technologist, dialysis technician, echo/vascular diagnostics specialist, emergency technician, medical assistant, medical technologist, nursing assistant, ophthalmic technician, phlebotomist, respiratory therapist, and surgical technologist.
