New North: Annual report to the community now available online

New North Inc. has released a digital version of its year-end review of economic-development activity and collaborative programs within the region.  The 2016Annual Report to the Community first was distributed to attendees of the New North Summit, held Dec. 6 in Green Bay.

The report utilizes metrics to tell the story of economic activity and collaboration within the region over the past year, and introduces the Gold Shovel Site Certification program, which is designed to increase the competitiveness of greenfield sites in the New North.

It also discusses regional talent development initiatives, including a new recruitment website and a recruiting video which debuted at this year’s New North Summit.

Additional stories share updates on the IT Alliance and plans for a full-time program director, as well as on Global New North and the recent addition of the first full-time international trade consultant (Greg Miller) for the organization dedicated to growing exports in the region.

“For those unable to make it to the New North Summit, the digital version of the Annual Report to the Community is an excellent way to learn about economic activity within the region during 2016,” says Jerry Murphy, executive director of New North Inc.  “Both the IT Alliance and Global New North took major strides in their development over the past year, and there are number of great talent development initiatives taking place in the region.”
