Sarah Adamson has joined the Dairy Business Milk Marketing Cooperative (DBMMC) in a newly created member services manager role.

Adamson will help DBMMC provide and expand services to members, including recruitment and member engagement, and she will also support farmers within the new Dairy Strong Sustainability Alliance.

“It’s critical as we continuously strive to meet the needs of our members, that we have smart, talented and passionate people on our team who make a difference,” said Tim Trotter, executive director of DBMMC, one of the fastest-growing dairy cooperatives in the country. “We’re thrilled to have Sarah on board.”

Adamson brings program planning and management skills, on-farm experience and a strong passion for dairy farming to DBMMC.

She helps on her family’s dairy goat farm in Milton, Wis., and most recently was the lead herdswoman on a large dairy goat farm. Adamson graduated in May from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in animal science with an emphasis on dairy and a minor in agribusiness.

“I am excited to support and advocate for the dairy community that I love so much,” Adamson said. “I look forward to working with the members of our organization to provide them value and to help them succeed, no matter the size or business model of their farms.”

Adamson will also serve as the DBMMC staff liaison with the newly formed Dairy Strong Sustainability Alliance. As she interacts with farmers on behalf of the co-op, Adamson will be able to promote the importance of their involvement in the alliance and other local sustainability efforts.

About DBMMC:

The Dairy Business Milk Marketing Cooperative provides milk testing verification services, market information and representation on dairy-related federal policies for its members in Wisconsin and seven other Midwestern states. Established in 2010, the co-op also aims to be a positive influence in the dairy community by collaborating and building consensus with other agricultural groups. For more information, visit www.dbmmc.com.
