Wil-Kil Pest Control Honors Employee Armed Forces Veterans in November

Sun Prairie, Wis., November 10, 2016 – On Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, Wil-Kil Pest Control will begin a month-long recognition campaign to honor the brave men and women who have fought for our country.

Wil-Kil Pest Control, based in Sun Prairie, Wis., with locations in Menomonee Falls, Appleton and Chippewa Falls, is proud to employ numerous veterans throughout the state of Wisconsin. This month, they will honor employees who protected our country on Facebook and Twitter (@WilKilPest) to thank them for their service. The company is also sponsoring the Green Bay Gamblers’, a Tier 1 junior ice hockey team, 5th Annual Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, November 12. The event raises funds for the local chapter of Disabled American Veterans.

Wil-Kil has been recognized for their support of the reserve forces and hiring of veterans. As Marsann McCants, Retired Air Force Veteran and Key Account Manager at Wil-Kil, stated, “The pest control industry is a service-related industry, not unlike the military. Pest control companies serve their clients; military members serve their nation. Both groups supply a public need to others. Military veterans can adapt to a service industry more easily than the average civilian.”

Wil-Kil Pest Control is also proud to have employees active in Pest Vets, a veteran’s group organized by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) with four goals: 1. Create Veteran Awareness of Opportunities in the Pest Management Industry

2. Provide Guidance to Assist Vets with Transitioning

3. Offer Educational Opportunities

4. Develop an Employment Portal for Returning Vets
