Isthmus Eye Care – a leading full-service local and independent eye care and eyewear provider – today announced it will open a new, state-of-the-art clinic and optical center on Madison’s east side. The new clinic is expected to open in spring of 2017 and will replace Isthmus Eye Care’s current location on East Washington Avenue.

“The building blocks of Isthmus Eye Care began on Madison’s east side more than 40 years ago, so we have a long history in the community and greatly value the relationships we’ve built over the years,” says Dr. Callie Maursetter. “While we’ve outgrown our current location, we’re thrilled to be in the process of custom designing and building this new, larger and more modern space in line with our mission to provide exceptional care in a comfortable setting for the whole family.”

The new clinic, at 6012 Gemini Drive on Madison’s central east side between the Great Dane and Metro Market (see attached rendering), will provide more space to accommodate Isthmus Eye Care’s team of doctors and support staff; offer increased appointment availability; and house the latest eye care technologies to meet all of patients’ vision and eye health needs. The innovative design of the optical space will help streamline services and showcase a larger selection of products including new and unique high-quality eyeglass frames.

“We’re looking forward to meeting many new friends and neighbors while providing a seamless transition, with no disruption of service, for our current east side patients,” says Dr. Tim Wilson. “And while the clinic will be new, what remains unchanged is our commitment to deliver a personalized approach to eye care and eyewear for patients and customers of all ages.”

As a bookend to the new east side location, Isthmus Eye Care will also continue to operate its full service clinic and optical center at 7601 University Avenue in Middleton. For more information, call (608) 249-5548 or visit isthmuseye.com.
