Andrea Nemecek of Allume Architects named finalist in 2016 BizTimes Nonprofit Excellence Awards

Elm Grove, Wis. – October 17, 2016 – Andrea Nemecek of Allume Architects, Elm Grove, has been has been named a finalist in BizTimes Media LLC’s Nonprofit Excellence Awards. Finalists will be recognized at a breakfast event on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Potawatomi Hotel & Conference Events Center, 1721 W Canal Street, 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The awards are designed to shine a light on the community impact of southeastern Wisconsin businesses and nonprofits. The program salutes the work of for-profit organizations, executives and professionals who donate their time, talent and treasure to community causes. More than 100 nominations were submitted for the program this year, and 27 finalists were selected in nine different categories. An overall winner in each category will be announced the morning of the event.

“These finalists serve as excellent examples of corporations and individuals who go above and beyond to help make our community a better place to live, work and play,” said Dan Meyer, publisher of BizTimes Media. “We’re proud to honor them for their hard work and dedication.”

The awards presentation will be preceded by a panel discussion on Building a Better Future for Milwaukee. BizTimes Media and a panel of business and community leaders will discuss current efforts and future opportunities as we work together to solve the complex and deeply-rooted challenges facing the City of Milwaukee.

Panelists include Chris Abele, Milwaukee County Executive; Bill Krugler, President, Milwaukee JobsWork; Michael Morgan, Principal, Milwaukee College Prep: Lola Rowe North Campus; and, Derek Mosely, City of Milwaukee Municipal Court Judge. The panel discussion will be moderated by Kimberly Kane, Founder and President, Kane Communications Group.

Allume Architects was launched in 2013 by Andrea Nemecek, licensed Architect in the State of Wisconsin and member of the American Institute of Architects.
