ROUGH Contributes Record $3,500 to Porchlight

MADISON, Wis. (May 2, 2016)— Madison-based ROUGH Sportswear company contributed $3,500 to Porchlight Homeless Solutions, making the donation the highest single amount the company has given back to date. Funds were raised through the second annual ROUGH 5K Run/Walk held April 10 on the UW-Madison campus and through a social media campaign.

“The Madison-area community made this donation possible,” explained ROUGH’s CEO Trent Jackson. “ROUGH organized the run and the social media push, but the money comes from people who care enough to participate.” In addition to the run, ROUGH contributed $1 for every new Like it received on the company’s Facebook page between March 1 and April 10, netting an additional $532 for Porchlight.

The donation to Porchlight is unrestricted so that the non-profit can use the funds as they see fit. “We are very thankful to Trent and ROUGH for this generous contribution and we look forward to putting this gift to work immediately,” stated Porchlight Executive Director Steve Schooler.
